Double Bezel Diamond Design

We wanted bold. We wanted sparkly. We did both. 

There’s something magical about a double diamond bezel set masterpiece. It’s super funky and modern, yet gives a classy, and classic, look. 

I was sitting at my workbench and was trying to come up with concepts for a new ring. I really couldn’t think of anything…so I decided to go back to my roots and forge a bezel diamond. 

These days, I wax cast most of my work, but this particular day, I really wanted to sit down and forge something. There’s something very special and almost intimate about making a new creation from a nugget of gold, a propane torch, and some files and saws. You get lost in the process and revel in the labor of love that it is. The process takes days, and is slow and tedious. But very much worth it. Its lots of hammering, sawing, firing, soldering, and waiting. But the end result is truly priceless. 

I wanted to give this piece a special twist, though.  I wanted to add a different style band, with vertical edges and lines. It gives it a beautiful shimmer as well as an elongated appearance. Stunning. 

It’s incredible to know that the options are endless and wearable pieces can go on forever.
